The Forest Fire Management System was installed in full operation (May 2007) at the Regional
Command of Fire Services of the Ionian Islands, whose headquarters are in Corfu,
as part of a project funded by the Prefecture of the Ionian Islands,
aiming to become an essential tool for the FS, to prevent, combat, and manage forest fires.
The design and installation of the telematics stations and the network (GPRS / WiFi) was made by
Emphasis Telematics.
